During the century history the Grodno region was glorified by the art traditions and a unique combination of cultures. Here on a small plot of land cultural traditions of Belorussians, Lithuanians, Poles, Ukrainian, Jews, Russian and Tatars were bound. For continuation of traditions of musical art which have been incorporated in second half of 18 centuries by Anthony Tizengaus, in May, 1992 «Kapella of Grodno» has been created. In days of Tizengaus, "Kapella" was the original furnace in which were melted musical culture of a composition of the Western Europe and creativity of local "serf" talents, a choreography and direction, and the hearth of this furnace was left with masterpieces which were capable to strike and column Astergazi (for which J.Gajdn at that time worked) and monarchy persons of Poland and Russia.

«Kapella of Grodno» - as musical collective, pays the big attention to distribution and popularization of everything that is connected to culture of our region. Mobility and universality of executors, and also an opportunity of structural changes allow to include the most different compositions of various styles, epoch, genres in programs of the kapella. From chamber products (romances, tool miniatures), up to symphonic and vocal-tools (cantatas, symphonies). Rich repertoire list of the Grodno kapella covers a plenty of high samples of musical art - compositions of ancient and modern Belarus composers, Russian and West-European classics of 17-20 centuries, a sacred music, national songs, etc.

The purposes and tasks which are put before itself with the Grodno kapella - revival and development of the Belarus musical traditions, propagation and popularization of the Belarus and world musical art, cultural - educational and cultural - educational activity, pedagogical, scientific, it is musical - theatrical, publishing, etc.

For 10 years of work kapella of Grodno has gained authority and a recognition not only in Grodno, but also behind its limits. Today is indoubtedly significant phenomenon in a cultural life of all Belorussia. The collective is full of creative plans and has wide prospects in the future.
